No deterministic prophecy

Every system here serves to illuminate a situation and aid reflection — no fixed futures foretold, no "you will" or "it is destined," no success percentages, no verdicts on lifespan or how a marriage ends. This is not boilerplate; it is fidelity to what divination actually is: a draw or a cast shows the present arrangement of forces, and the "signs the situation has changed" section described in The Reading Method exists precisely to admit that arrangements shift. The decision is always yours.

No substitute for professional counsel

Where health, law or major finances are concerned, readings still offer the divinatory perspective — timing, disposition, relational dynamics — while reminding you to consult the relevant professionals. No prescriptions, no stock tips, no legal opinions. Divination is a lens for reflection, not a license to practice.

Crisis safety above everything

If input suggests risk of harm to self or others, the system suspends the divination flow and surfaces help resources first. Architecturally this rule outranks every product goal: it runs before any cache and any generation — the safety check is always the first code to execute. No "user experience" is worth stepping around it.

Respect for living traditions

Half of professionalism in the mystic arts is knowing these systems are not ownerless:

• The Tzolk'in follows the traditional count (GMT 584283 correlation), aligned with the days still kept by highland Guatemalan daykeepers; explicitly distinguished from post-1987 modern variants, with no "Maya doomsday" rhetoric (details);
• The Tree of Life declares its Hermetic (Golden Dawn) attribution, honoring the Jewish Kabbalistic source without claiming to transmit its practice; divine names are never vocalized or used as decoration (details);
• The Wheel of the Year states plainly that the unified eightfold wheel is a 20th-century construction whose individual festivals carry genuine age (details);
• Runes and numerology likewise mark their modern reconstruction layers honestly (runes · numerology).

Every system's documentation separates classical, early-modern and modern interpretive layers, with controversies in the main text — pretending there are no controversies is what would be unprofessional.

Restraint with data

• Birth data and reading history are used only to generate your content — never sold, never used beyond that purpose;
• Dreams and similarly sensitive content receive the strictest access boundaries — they are letters you wrote to yourself; we are only the courier;
• Only necessary and functional cookies;
• Deletion is real: when you ask for erasure, the data goes — not just the doorway to it.

Honesty about AI

Ask Akasha's readings are generated by AI — we do not pretend a human master sits behind the curtain. But the rules are human-made: cards and hexagrams are cast by algorithm and cannot be altered by the AI; calendrical facts are server-computed and may only be cited; advice is bound by the two contracts, and every revision passes a four-axis evaluation before shipping. The AI holds the pen; the discipline is the lamp above it. We believe this is more trustworthy than any "personally calculated by a master" promise — because it can be checked.

One governing principle

If a feature could only retain you through fear, dependency or vagueness, we would rather not build it. Divination's role here is to help you see yourself more clearly — and the more clearly you see, the less you need us. That is a paradox this product is willing to accept.
